This is a view of far distant Lake Tahoe in mid-late summer from a ridge above Meiss Meadow and Showers Lake in the Carson Pass Area of the High Sierra. Although it was late in the summer, the high elevations were carpeted with wildflowers, the day was very hot and Showers Lake was a very refreshing lunch spot before our hike back up and out to where we parked at Schneider Cow Camp.
